PURPOSE: A scroll compressor is provided to simplify a design of a pressure control valve since the pressure control valve is able to be mounted at any position of a main frame needless to prepare a space on a fixing scroll to mount the valve, thereby simplifying the structure of the fixing scroll. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor includes a main frame formed with a cylinder connected to a suction chamber(70a) and an intermediate pressure chamber(54a), a lid(81) fixed at an end part of the cylinder, a spring(82) mounted in the cylinder, and a pressure control valve(83) compressing the spring to connect the suction chamber with the intermediate pressure chamber when a pressure of the intermediate pressure chamber is higher than a predetermined value, wherein the cylinder is formed at an end part of the main frame.
