PURPOSE: A RAID system that supports Wide Ultra 2 LVD SCSI through stack structure is provided to improve the computer's input/output function and to secure the data's reliability. CONSTITUTION: A RAID system that supports Wide Ultra 2 LVD SCSI through stack structure is composed of reception, supervision, and connection. RAID controller connector(200) receives RAID controller's SCSI bus signal from host SCSI. SCSI input device(204) receives signals from RAID controller connector. SAF-TE controller(204) receives SCSI bus signal and supervises SCSI bus. Disk connector(203) receives SCSI bus signal from SAF-TE controller and connects it to the disk. Daisy chain or SCSI device connector(201) receives SCSI bus signal from disk connector and outputs the signal. I2C port(207) supervises SAF-TE controller through I2C bus and power supply connector(201) provides electric power. Four device channels (206a,206b,206c,206d) are enclosed and three disks can be used by each device channel, which means that 12 disks can be connected and total of 48 disks can be connected and used.
