PURPOSE: A deflection yoke is provided to improve reliability of a cathode ray tube using the deflection yoke by beforehand preventing noise generated by a minute vibration that occurs when an inner arm operates to form a ferromagnetic field. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke comprises a coil separator(21), a vertical deflection coil, a ferrite core, an inner arm(25) and a soundproofing element. A horizontal coil forming a horizontal deflection magnetic field is established inside the coil separator and a coupling groove having a predetermined width is formed on an intermediate both sides of an external surface along a circumferential direction. The vertical deflection coil forms a vertical deflection magnetic field, established on an external surface of the coil separator. The ferrite core is established on the coil separator to intensify the vertical deflection magnetic field by the vertical deflection coil. The inner arm barrel-magnetizes the vertical deflection magnetic field through the vertical deflection coil, inserted into the coupling groove of the coil separator. The soundproofing element absorbs the noise caused by the vibration of the inner arm generated in the course of the barrel-magnetization of the vertical deflection magnetization through the inner arm, established on the coil separator adjacent to the portion to which the inner arm is coupled.
