PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately carry out the feeding of a sheet from a delivery means to a separating means even through the sheet includs a curl. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a resistance giving means 24 at the upstream side in the sheet feeding direction, to the separating means 21 and 22. The resistance giving means 24 includes a blade member whose one end is held to a holding means and the other end is provided directing to separating means 21 and 22, and a cover member composed by having a friction coefficient smaller than the friction coefficient of the blade member and by covering a specific area of the upper face of the blade member in order to prevent the contact of the sheet tip and the blade member upper face when it is fed in the condition that the angle made by the sheet lower face of the sheet delivered by a delivery means 20 and the upper face of the blade member, exceeds a tolerable scope.
