PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bend a loop-shaped work with flanges by attaching punches having width in accordance with an interval between the flanges of the work to be made into a loop shape to a shaft and pushing the shaft down. SOLUTION: This unit is a punch unit for bending consists of the punches 1 and the shaft 2 to which the punches 1 are attached. The necessary number of the punches 1 are arranged in accordance with the width of the work 6 and attached to the shaft 2. Each punch 1 is fixed with a clamping screw and the fixing parts 5 formed at both ends of the shaft 2 are set by clamping them with the holders 7 of a bender. A material is blanked by leaving the flanges 8 of the work 6 and the work 6 whose flanges 8 are bent is successively bent in each corner with the punch 1 by using the punch unit for bending. The work 6 is worked into the loop shape and, even when the rising parts such as the flanges 8 are formed on the periphery, the blade of the punch 1 reaches the place to be bent without bringing into contact with the flange 8.
