PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent image blur caused by camera shake in an image pickup device. SOLUTION: This image pickup device provided with an image pickup means receiving a subject image formed by an image pickup optical system by an image pickup surface and converting it into an image signal is provided with a parallel displacement means 4 for displacing the image pickup means 5 in parallel on the same plane as the image pickup surface, and the image pickup means is displaced in parallel so that an image at the center position of the image pickup surface of the image pickup means at the exposure starting time may be always in the center of the image pickup surface. To put it more concretely, the device is provided with a rotation detection means 1 detecting the rotational displacement of an image pickup device main body, a posture angle calculation means 2 calculating the change of the posture angle of the image pickup device main body based on a rotational displacement detection signal obtained from the detection means 1, a signal amplification means 3 amplifying a posture angle change signal from the calculation means 2 at fixed gain, and the parallel displacement means 4 inputting a signal from the amplification means 3 and displacing the means 5 in parallel on the same plane as the image pickup surface. The parallel displacement of the image pickup means is performed once or more times within image fetching time. |
