PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect ammonia even at a low temperature by using a solid electrolyte based on germanate, silicate, stannate, plumbate, titanate, zirconate, and bafnate. SOLUTION: A solid electrolyte having a characteristic allowing only a single kind of ion to move in solid, that is, a solid electrolyte performing excellent conduction of ion such as NH4+ at a low temperature is used for detecting ammonia. In concrete, a solid electrolyte based on germanate, silicate, stannate, plumbate, titanate, zirconate, and hafnate can perform ionic conduction of NH4+ accurately and quickly even at a low temperature of about 100 deg.C. Therefore, ammonia concentration can be continuously measured with excellent reproducibility even in the coexistent gas concentration always variable atmosphere. |
