PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an excellent airtightness of a cosmetic case and smooth opening/closing and free stopping of the lid with overall even pressing force of the lid on the packing material by positively giving flexibility in the direction of slanting to the pivotally attaching part of the lid and the case body of the airtight cosmetic case. SOLUTION: The pivotally attaching part 30 of the lid 20 to a case body 10 consists of a pair of hinges 33 on the case body, a hinge block 35 on the lid 20 between the hinges, and a hinge pin inserted from the hinge pieces into the hinge block 35. The inner diameter of the hinge hole of the hinge block 35 is almost the same with that of the hinge pin at a support part 34 nearly in the middle of the pivotally attaching part, becoming larger toward both ends of the attaching part, so that the hinge pin and the hinge hole oscillate relatively aslant with the support part as the center of oscillation, and the lid 20 is made to rotate and stop at the support part with an arbitrary opening angle to the case body.
