摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the entire length of a lens, to realize miniaturization and to obtain high optical performance all over the variable power range by providing a 1st group with a 11th positive lens whose convex surface faces to an object side and a 12th negative lens, etc., in order from the object side, providing a 2nd group with a 21st positive lens having an aspherical surface and a 22nd negative lens and satisfying a specified condition. SOLUTION: As for this zoom lens performing variable power by changing a distance between the respective lens groups, the 1st group L1 is provided with the 11th positive lens whose convex surface faces to the object side, the 12th negative lens, a 13th positive lens being meniscus whose convex surface faces to an image surface side and having the aspherical surface and a 14th positive lens in order from the object side. The 2nd group L2 is provided with the 21st positive lens having the aspherical surface and the 22nd negative lens. Assuming that the focal distance of an entire system at a wide-angle end is fW, the focal distance of the 1st group L1 is f1, and the focal distance of the 2nd group L2 is f2, the lens satisfies the condition shown by expressions; 0.40<f1/fW<0.80 and 0.40<|f2|/fw<0.90.
