PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of data transmission reception that employs a terminal whose operation is simple and whose reception cost is low while keeping interactive performance. SOLUTION: A contents data receiver is provided with a reception means that can receive a modulated wave resulting from modulation of a signal including contents data into a carrier by an information server, a demodulation means that demodulates a signal from the modulated wave received by the reception means, an output means that outputs contents data included in the signal demodulated by the demodulation means and a transmission means that transmits a fact of receiving of the modulated wave by the reception means to the information server by using a public telephone line. Thus, the data receiver whose operation is simple can be provided at a low reception cost while keeping the interactive performance.
