PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of communicating with an information processor and capable of preventing the information processor from judging time-out and forcedly finishing communication in the middle of preparing a picture list. SOLUTION: This digital camera is provided with a CCD (solid-state image pickup device) 11, an IC card 14 for recording an image picked up by the CCD 11 as an image file, and a control circuit 13. The circuit 13 is capable of multitask processing and transmits a BUSY signal to a personal computer each time the circuit 13 receives an inquiry command from the computer 2 during preparation of the list of image files.
