PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector which can reduce the local stress that a bare fiber receives from the rear-end part edge of an optical fiber arrangement part. SOLUTION: On an array groove substrate 1 composed of the optical fiber arrangement part 1a where optical fiber array grooves are formed and an optical fiber coating arrangement and fixation part 1b, two ribbons 2 of exposed bare fibers 2b having coatings 2a removed at their tip sides are stacked, and the optical fibers of both the ribbons are arranged by turns and pressed by a pressure member 3. The step (t) between the optical fiber arrangement part and optical fiber coating arrangement and fixation part is made small and the lower bare fibers are raised at the rear part of the optical fiber arrangement part.
