PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser device which saves a space, in which an optical system can be designed simply and which can perform a readout operation and a write operation with reference to two kinds of optical disks, by a method wherein light at two kinds of wavelengths can be radiated from one optical pickup. SOLUTION: In this semiconductor laser device, two semiconductor laser elements 30, 40 whose light emitting wavelength and temperature dependence are different are laminated on a stem 11. The laser element 30 whose temperature dependence is larger out of the two laser elements is arranged on the side of the stem, and the laser element 40 whose temperature dependence is smaller is laminated on the laser element. The interval of respective light emitting points between both laser chips is preferably at 160 um or lower. |
