PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized actuator wherein a planar form is slender and the stopping state of a rotor can be suitably maintained when a current is not applied to a coil. SOLUTION: Bent parts 9b, 10b, 11b, 12b of iron core members 9, 10, 11, 12 are magnetic pole parts facing the peripheral surface of a rotor 8 made of a permanent magnet. As to the facing angle of the peripheral surface of the rotor 8, the bent parts 10b, 11b are smaller than the bent parts 9b, 12b. A coil 13 is wound around the bent parts 9c, 10c of the iron core members 9, 10. A coil 15 is wound around the bent parts 11c, 12c of the iron core parts 11, 12. When a current is not applied to the coils 13, 15, the rotor 8 is energized with self magnetic force in the clockwise direction, and stops in the state that a part of an overhang part 8a abuts against the edge of a slot 1d. When the maintaining force of the stopping state is not adequate, the iron core member 10 is exchanged.
