A PALLET

A pallet formed essentially of a plastics material having a platform (20) with opposing longitudinal ends formed into box section walls (23) which depend from the undersurface (20b) of the platform. The pallet includes at least one channel member (25) secured to the undersurface (20b) of the platform and spaced between the two box section walls (23). The pallet further includes a base member (28) secured to the channel member (25) and the box section walls (23) in a manner that the base member (28) is spaced from the platform to form channels (29) to allow entry of the forks of a fork lift vehicle underneath the platform (20). The base member is formed of one or more component parts.
