The invention concerns an electric power generator consisting of a chamber containing a hydrogen-deuterium mixture, wherein the energy of a powerful pulse laser is focused: after being transformed by passing through an azimuthal phase-shifter it causes a confined plasma to be formed from which, in a neighbouring zone of the focal plane, needles are launched driving an electric current ending up at a circular anode enclosing the focus, the working circuit is connected between the anode and the metal device used as focusing structure for the laser beam.
