PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a prevention of liquid-back into a compressor to be realized under a low cost. SOLUTION: There is provided an air conditioner 20 having an outdoor machine 21 in which a compressor 26, an outdoor heat exchanger 29 and an outdoor pressure reducing mechanism 34 are connected in series; and an indoor machine 22 having an indoor heat exchanger 31, wherein refrigerant is circulated between these outdoor machine and indoor machine. The outdoor pressure reducing mechanism 34 is constituted such that one or a plurality of sub- capillary tubes 39 and solenoid valves 38 connected in series are connected in parallel with a main capillary tube 36.
