PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide low-pressure double glazing and a manufacturing method thereof which not only can shorten a time for pressure reduction greatly, but also improve the strength of an exhaust tube. SOLUTION: Two sheets of sheet glass are disposed with a prescribed space between and a spacer 4 for maintaining this space is provided, while the end part of the peripheral edge of a panel thus formed is sealed hermetically with low-melting solder glass 5 and 7 so that a low-pressure space be formed. In low-pressure double glazing thus constituted, one corner part of the two sheets of sheet glass is cut obliquely so that each of the sheets is formed in a bent shape projecting outward in a plan view, and thereby a cut part is formed. A linear exhaust tube 6 of which one end part is cut obliquely is brought into contact with a part of the cut part and a structure wherein the exhaust tube 6 is almost held in a part cut away is formed.
