<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a crew member without any professional technique regarding the operation of a radar device, observation by a radar image, or the like to easily know information on the class and specifications of other ships. SOLUTION: When a target that the operator, the crew member, of a radar device wishes to notice is specified by a cursor on the radar screen of a display 24, the radar sectional area of the target is calculated based on a reception signal regarding other ships that are targets by a radar sectional area calculation part 34. When the operator specifies the target that the operator pays attention to again with a cursor after a desired amount of time passes, the aspect angle of the target is calculated from the advance direction of the target that is obtained from a past target position and a current target position and the position of an own ship by an aspect angle calculation part 36. A DB retrieval part 38 reads information on the ship class of the target (another ship) and the specifications of the ship from a database 40 corresponding to the radar sectional area and the aspect angle of the calculated target and displays the information on the display 24.</p> |
