<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message switch that can be operated in a cluster by permitting a first port to transmit a message received by a second port to the receiver of the mail message of a switch entry and to package the receiver address of the mail massage in accordance with a directory entry. SOLUTION: Plural ports 12, 14, 14' and 14" through which transmitters/ receivers transfer/receive messages are installed in LMS(Lotus Messaging Switch). The message switch of LMS and the like processes the mail message received from a connected post office 22 through the port 12 and repeats the message through the respective ports 14, 14' and 14" in accordance with a receiver address by a simple mail transfer protocol. The port 12 can be connected to an associated post office through LAN or the other appropriate link. The mail message to a switch subscriber from internet is repeated to the appropriate post office and the subscriber can take out the message.</p> |
