PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality electric motor with low-level noise. SOLUTION: When the number of poles is P, P or more joining means such as caulking exist at the inner- and outer-peripheral sides in the diametrical direction of at least a permanent magnet 12, namely, 2P or more joining means such as the caulking exist in total. In this case, since the joining force due to caulking 13a at the inner-peripheral side of the diameter direction is made stronger than that due to caulking 13b at the outer-peripheral side of the diameter direction, thus increasing the stiffness of a rotor, decreasing the noise level, improving rotor inner diameter cylinder accuracy, and hence providing a quality, reliable, and superior electric motor.
