PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taillight assembly for a vehicle which can realize a variety of functions such as rear light, brake light, reversing light and other signals without use of a plurality of lens with satisfaction of spatial restriction by requirements of aerodynamics for the vehicle and appearance while satisfying consideration about production and heat. SOLUTION: This taillight device for an automobile has an assembly 16 defining light emitting area, a first light source 12 lighting through the light emitting area and a second light source lighting through a determined part of the light emitting area. The taillight device has lighting mode in which the first light source 12 lights at first light intensity with a first wavelength range through the light emitting area. The taillight device also has brake mode in which the first light source 12 lights at second light intensity with a first wavelength range through the light emitting area. The taillight device further has reversing mode in which the second light source 12 lights with white light and second wavelength range including the first wavelength range through at least one determined part of the light emitting area. |
