PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical part holding device, a digital still camera and a method for molding an optical part holding device capable of easily and surely holding optical parts without drastically raising the production cost. SOLUTION: Since the groove 11a of a lower housing 11 is provided with two pairs of upper surfaces 11b and 11d and lower surfaces 11c and 11e which are parallel surfaces holding optical parts 13 and 14, the optical parts 13 and 14 whose cross section is rectangular are surely held without using a means such as a spring, etc., whereby the cost of the parts is restrained to be low. The optical parts 13 and 14 are surely held without using an adhesive, etc., so that they are easily separated from the groove 11a.
