PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound by an easy and low cost method in a high yield and in a high purity by reacting a product obtained by reacting a specific compound with a specific Grignard reagent, with a specific salt compound. SOLUTION: This method for producing an organic boron compound is provided by reacting (D) a product obtained by reacting (A) a triaryl(triarylphosphine)boron coordinated compound of the formula: Ar3B-PAr'3 (Ar, Ar' are each an aryl), [e.g.; triphenyl(triphenylphosphine)borane] with (B) a Grignard reagent of the formula: R1MgX1 (R1 is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl, an aralkyl or an aryl; X1 is a halogen) in (C) an inert solvent (e.g.; toluene), with (E) a salt compound of the formula: MX2 (M is an alkali metal, quaternary phosphonium or quaternary ammonium; X2 is a halogen) to obtain an objective compound of the formula: Ar3B-M (e.g.; Lithium n-butyltriphenylborate).
