PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge device and a method of a continuous unloader capable of simultaneously discharging a bulk material from one continuous unloader against a plurality of conveyors on the ground. SOLUTION: A continuous unloader scrapes a bulk material such as an ore and a charcoal in a hold and accumulates them in a hopper 13 by continuously circulating a plurality of buckets. It drives a discharge system connected to the hopper 13 at a constant speed and discharges them. The hopper 13 is divided to a plurality of sections and a scraping speed matching to a discharge quantity at a rear side is controlled by disposing a shielding plate 24 at a discharge device capable of cutting off a constant quantity in every hopper and a hopper entrance, and by detection of the accumulation quantity in the hopper and opening state of the shielding plate 24. Thereby, a discharge of a constant quantity can be simultaneously carried out from one continuous unloader to a plurality of conveyors on the ground.
