<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral device and a data processor capable of being efficiently put to practical use through a network and a control method for them. SOLUTION: A host computer WS1 (11), a printer PT1 (13), a printer PT2 (14), a digital copier 1 (15) and a digital copier 2 (16) are connected to a network 17. Each peripheral device records the number of printing papers and trouble frequency and, when a predetermined number of papers are printed, the data containing the trouble frequency is sent to a host computer 12 and this host computer 12 selects the peripheral device based on the data.</p> |
