<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an excellent initial anti-foaming property, and an anti- foaming persistency to a foaming system, and a water resistance of a final product by using a compound wherein it is obtained by a reaction between nonreducing saccharide and alkylene oxide, and a cloud point of a sample concentration measuring method by butyl diglycol aqueous solution is within a specific temperature range. SOLUTION: An antifoam composition is formed by using a compound wherein it is obtained by a reaction between nonreducing disaccharide and 2-12C alkylene oxide, and a reaction of nonreducing disaccharide, 1-12C alkylene oxide, and carboxylic acids, and a cloud point of a 10% sample concentration measuring method by 25% butyl diglycol aqueous solution is 40 to 26 deg.C. The nonreducing disaccharide in this time is that wherein both two monosaccharides are bonded by a hemiacetal hydroxy group, and cane sugar or the like is mentioned. Further as the alkylene oxide, ethylene oxide or the like is preferable. Further, for the compound a molar ratio of nonreducing disaccharide/ alkylene oxide/carboxylic acid is set at 1.0/30-80/0-0.6.</p> |
