PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve positioning accuracy of a steel belt while it is easily washed, by integrally forming protrusions in an internal peripheral surface, providing the protrusion with a suitable space in a steel belt, winding it to a pulley provided with a hollow fitted to the protrusion in an external peripheral surface, and constituting a conveyer. SOLUTION: A steel belt 1 is formed in endless shape by integrally providing many semispherical protrusions 2 of about 1 mm radius with a suitable space apart in an internal peripheral surface of the belt. This conveying device is constituted by winding the steel belt 1 between drive/driven pulleys 3, 4 formed with a plurality of hollows 5 fitting the protrusion 2 in an external peripheral surface of each pulley. In the conveying device thus constituted, the protrusion 2 integrally formed in the steel belt 1, by forming a continuous surface with no cut off surface, is safe without generating a burr or the like, and the steel belt can be easily washed. Accurately positioning of the steel belt in a prescribed position can be performed by fitting the protrusion 2 to the hollow 5.
