PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate machining of a member with cam face parts needing accuracy to reduce cost by applying carburizing treatment or high frequency quenching only to the cam face parts in the member with the cam face parts receiving a rolling element, and molding the parts other than the cam face parts by forging or casting. SOLUTION: A variable long joint means which is cam mechanism in a multiple disk clutch is formed in such structure that a roller for generating reaction is interposed between a piston and a support member 10. At the time of manufacturing the support member 10 serving as a member with cam face parts 15, the cam face parts 15 are machined separately from a body having non-cam-face parts 12 and a cylindrical part 13 and connected later to the non-cam-face parts 12 with an adhesive or the like. The cam face parts 15 are formed in sector shape in the mutually connected state and formed in specified hardness by molding steel and applying carburizing treatment or high frequency quenching, while the body is formed as an injection-molded resin product or a cast aluminum product.
