PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the shortening of the time of ending work and, in its turn, the improvement in efficiency of the rewinding work by coloring the winding package-side yarn end cut by a yarn clearer. SOLUTION: A yarn clearer 3 actuates a horizontal rod 3b to protrude a piston rod 3b when a yarn defect detecting part 3a detects the defective part y1 of a yarn Y. A cutter 3c mounted on the piston rod 3b is brought into contact to an anvil 3e to cut the yarn Y, and the yarn Y is nipped between a pusher 3d and a marking member 3f above the cutter 3 to color the cut yarn Y, forming a colored part y2. The winding package-side cut yarn end having the colored part y2 formed is wound on a winding package. According to this, the yarn end wound on the winding package can be easily found out, and the time of ending work can be shortened.
