PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent chopsticks from dropping on a table or a floor without requiring another tableware as a chopstick rest, to reliably hold the chopsticks on a tableware, to prevent the chopsticks from becoming obstacles when the tableware is inclined and to prevent the hold section of a lotus from being immersed in food by providing notch sections continuously below the opening upper edge section of the tableware. SOLUTION: Two notch sections 3 are provided at the prescribed interval continuously below the opening upper edge section 2 at the upper section of a tableware 1. The opening width of each notch section 3 is set to the width of two chopsticks 4 arranged in parallel or slightly wider than it. The chopsticks 4 are mounted across the bottom sections 3a of the notch sections 3, the chopsticks 4 are prevented from being rolled or slipped and dropped on a table or a floor even when a hand is inadvertently brought into contact with the chopsticks 4, and no other tableware is required for a chopstick rest as an economic effect.
