PURPOSE: An apparatus for discharging exhaust emission using a swirl is provided to improve output of an engine by discharging exhaust emission after adding to the external air and to restrain discharge of noxious exhaust emission by promoting combustion efficiency of fuel. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust emission discharging apparatus comprises: an exhaust manifold(1) wherein exhaust emission is collected; a catalytic converter(2) cleaning filtering noxious elements in the exhaust emission; mufflers(3,4) reducing discharge noise of the exhaust emission; a swirl duct(5) sucking the external air and forming an air swirl via a vane(7); and a subsidiary duct(8) connecting the swirl duct to a pipe(13) in front of one muffler(4) and embedding a valve(9) of which opening degree is controlled depending on an opening degree of a throttle valve. Upon operating an accelerator pedal, mixture of fuel and air is supplied to a combustion chamber of an engine and the external air is supplied to the muffler(4) through the swirl duct, a venturi swirl duct(6) and the subsidiary duct. The mixture is burned in the combustion chamber, and exhaust emission containing such gases as CO, HC and NOx are generated and discharged to the exhaust manifold. The exhaust emission collected in the exhaust manifold is discharge to the other muffler(3) by passing through the catalytic converter. The muffler reduces noise by using resonance or a sound absorbing member. Air flow velocity is increased in the muffler(4) according to inflow of the external air through the swirl ducts(5,6). Therefore, discharge velocity of the exhaust emission filled in the combustion chamber is accelerated and the exhaust emission doesn't remain in the combustion chamber.
