PURPOSE: A video camera and a display system are provided to detect a car in a dead angle in a side of a car driver under a control of a headlight. CONSTITUTION: The total monitor system includes a plurality of a video cameras(62,64,66), a selection device(68), a recording device(72) and a display(74). The video cameras are installed in a proper position to watch for a peripheral area of the car. The selection device selects at least a view of the camera views of the peripheral area of the car. The recording device or the display records or displays at least one of the camera views coinciding with the selection device. The selection device includes a protection circuit(54) and a control portion(60). The protection circuit gives an alarm when there is a possibility of car burglar by other person. The control portion lets the recording device or the display continuously record or display a video signal of a selected video camera for a predetermined time when the protection circuit gives an alarm. |
