The adjuster/clamp has a fine adjustment lever which is pivotable around the horizontal tip axis. First and second manoeuvring components are arranged coaxially and rotatably around an axis in the instrument. The fine adjustment lever, as a clamping component, has a sprung tension lever (10), is located on a flange (4) arranged on the horizontal tip axis (3) on several locating points (13,14,15). One locating point (13) is on the tension lever.- The first manoeuvring component is connected with a drive component which has a plain thread in form-locking active connection with the coupling component arranged on the fine adjustment lever. At the end of the fine adjustment lever furthest away from the tip axis is a form component (23) rotatably by the second manoeuvring component and which is in friction-locking connection with one end of a support (12)
