PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized optical transmitter, simultaneously realizing constant control of output power and accurate wavelength control. SOLUTION: In this optical transmitter, an optical signal outputted from a transmission light source 20 performed with the constant control of a bias current is data signal modulated by a first optical modulator 21. The optical signal performed with the data signal modulation is inputted to a second optical modulator 22. The optical output power of the optical output signal outputted from the transmission light source 20 is monitored by a control signal generator 25. The second optical modulator 22 is controlled, so that the output voltage becomes constant by a control signal 26 generated by the control signal generator 25. |
