PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope which is compact and whose number of parts is small, which is constituted so that a turret plate is not used and magnification is easily changed, hardly has a possibility that the adjusted state thereof breaks down, whose handleability is satisfactory and whose optical adjustment is facilitated and stabilized. SOLUTION: This microscope is constituted such that an eyepiece part 4 and an objective lens part 5 are supported by a support part 2 and a placing part 6 and an illumination part 8 are slidably supported by the support part 2. At the lens part 5, plural objective lenses, whose magnification are different, are slidably arranged side by side in a direction orthogonally crossing the support part 2. Also the objective lenses are housed in a downward housing and the placing part 6 is housed in an upward housing. Then, a hermetically sealed housing is formed of the downward housing and the upward housing by sliding the placing part 6.
