<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an omission of definition of a database and to display an easy-to-see list of definition contents by displaying table names hierarchically on a screen according to a hierarchical relation stored in a table management table constituting the database. SOLUTION: The table management table 301 which holds and manages definition information as dictionary information in the database has a child table ID array column 306 holding table IDs regarding the table 301 as a parent, a parent table ID array column 307 storing table IDs regarding the table 301 as a child, etc., in addition to a table ID column 302 specifying records and a table name column 303 holding table names. For example, when a table 103 is the parent table of a table 105, a table ID 1003 specifying records regarding the table 105 is stored in the column 306 and a table ID 1001 regarding the table 103 is stored in the column 307. Therefore, when the hierarchical structure of a table is displayed, a table name list belonging to a selected database can be obtained from the table management table 301 and displayed in a window on a display in a staircase format by using the parent-child relation.</p> |
