PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate capable of easily defining the relations with a mating member by providing a glass substrate body and an engaging projection with the mating member that is bonded to the surface of the substrate body and to provide a PDP. SOLUTION: An engaging projection 11 is bonded to the surface 4a of a glass substrate body 4 interposing a binder layer 12 formed of glass containing paste. The engaging projection 11 preferably has the same level of a thermal expansion coefficient as the glass substrate body 4. This obviates the need of forming a cut-out part or a hole in the substrate body, and eliminates the possibility of damage due to the concentration of stress. No change is needed for the manufacturing processes of the substrate body 4. |
