There is disclosed an insertable liner retaining extrusion (27) for adapting a pre-assembled above-ground pool to receive a new liner. The extrusion (27) comprises at an upper end (29) thereof a barbed-shaped insertion means (28) adapted for easy insertion between the pool's U-shaped channel (12) and line r retainer (17). At a lower end (32) thereof, the extrusion (27) has liner bea d receiving means (35) for receiving a liner bead.
