PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate the occurrence of deformation to a cabin due to an impact force if a frontal clash should happen and to improve safety by securing the living space of a passenger through effective absorption of an impact. SOLUTION: In this car body structure, a chassis frame 4 is fastened in the vicinity of the front end part of a car body in a manner that movement backward to a cabin 1 by a given distance is practicable. In this case, at the early stage of a frontal clash, even when the chassis frame 4 is deformed, deformation is prevented from occurring to a side sill part 3 on the cabin 1 side, and reduction of a cabin space being a drivers cab and deformation of a front door opening part are prevented from occurring. |
