PURIFICATION OF POLLUTED SOIL AND WASTE MATTER WITH PLASMA TORCH BY HORIZONTAL EXCAVATION

PURPOSE: A method of purifying polluted soil and waste matter with a plasma torch is provided to increase the number of vertical excavation by applying the position or shape of waste matter to the processing of waste matter under the ground. CONSTITUTION: Usually, the polluted soil or waste matter(3) is cracked and molten on the spot by falling a torch through a vertical hole and raising the torch from the underground. The method has the inconvenience to have a large torch heating stand to prevent a support device for the torch from being depressed in descending the torch through the hole. The new method obtains convenience in working by putting/pulling the torch through a horizontal hole in the polluted soil.
