FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: trailer with plate and drive providing its setting vertically and perpendicularly to track is installed behind the tail part of train. In emergency plate is set in indicated position and higher density substance, for instance, water, is injected into oncoming air flow. This provide braking owing to increased aerodynamic drag when oncoming air stream comes into contact with plate. EFFECT: reduced braking distance at train braking, reduced wear of contact members.
