PURPOSE: A portable data processing device, which has changeable action frequency according to applications, is provided to improve the energy efficiency and to use the device for a long time with limited power source. CONSTITUTION: A portable data processing device, which has changeable action frequency according to applications, includes a power supply part(10), a microprocessor(30), a memory(40), a communication part with the outside devices(50), and a display part(60). Application programs are processed with different action frequencies each other. When multiprocessing or multitasking of various applications is done by using a microprocessor that the action frequency can be changed, the action speed of a certain program is set in advance, or the user sets the speed.
