PURPOSE: An effective communication channel allotment method in satellite communication system is provided to separate channel information to be allotted to a calling base station into small scale units and manage the channel information with representative value, thereby easily searching and allotting the channel. CONSTITUTION: An effective communication channel allotment method in satellite communication system comprises: a call request receive step receiving a call request from any handset through a base station; a talk enable decision step identifying the state information of the called base station to decide talk enable condition; a channel information tag value decision step deciding whether a first representative tag value of a channel search tag memory is within a set bit unit; a tag value sequential search step searching the next tag value if the searched tag value is within the set bit range; and a channel allotment step allotting a non-using channel within the tag value to the call request handset through the base station.
