PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to hold a service for the dead at a family Buddhist alter in his or her home at all times and to make contribution to the solution of the problem of tombstone deficiency which will be increasingly critical in future relating to conversion of burnt bones and the ashes of the deceased man and animals to ceramics by forming the burnt bones and the ashes of the deceased to the shape of Buddhist mortuary tablets, etc. SOLUTION: The ceramics of the desired shapes are obtained by using 30 to 95 wt.% of the burnt bones and the ashes of the deceased of the man or animals as starting raw materials and mixing titanium compound therewith, molding the mixture and firing the moldings. The moldings of the powder mixture consisting of 30 to 95 wt.% calcined powder formed by heat treating the burnt bones and the ashes of the deceased man or animals at 700 deg.C or temperature at which melting begins or below and the balance titanium powder or titanium compound are otherwise fired. |
