摘要 PURPOSE: A method for controlling electric expansion valves is provided to control refrigerant flow toward respective indoor units by correcting an opening degree of the electric expansion valve of each indoor units on the basis of refrigerant or coil temperature of each indoor unit, thereby reducing the number of electric expansion valves in a multi-type air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling electric expansion valves in an air conditioner including an outdoor unit having at least a compressor, an electric expansion valve, and a heat exchanger and a plurality of indoor units having at least a heat exchanger, in which a refrigerant pipe connects the indoor and outdoor units for forming a freezing cycle and heat exchange is performed between cool air discharged to a room and a refrigerant circulating in the freezing cycle, includes the steps of setting an opening degree of respective electric expansion valves on the basis of a target discharge temperature of a compressor(232), simultaneously detecting with a refrigerant temperature detecting element a temperature of a refrigerant fed back to an outdoor unit after passing through heat exchangers of a plurality of indoor units(234), obtaining a deviation of refrigerant temperatures of the respective indoor units on the basis of a refrigerant temperature of a random one indoor unit(236), and correcting the opening degree of the electric expansion valves corresponding to the respective indoor units according to the deviation(242).
