PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching construction for an earthquake damping wall requiring no large space for the damping wall without decrease in attenuating performance since the damping wall is kept to upright position. SOLUTION: Attaching construction of this earthquake damping wall comprises a container 20 having an open top with the inner portion filled with a viscous fluid which is fixed to a structural member 14 in a lower layer story and an inner plate 40 located with a certain interval within the container 20 and fixed through a follow-up device 30 to a structural member 16 in an upper layer story; the follow-up device 30 comprises a lower fixing portion 31 fixed along the upper side of the inner plate 40, an upper fixing portion 32 along the structural member in an upper layer story, and a coupling portion 33 connecting the lower fixing portion 31 to the upper fixing portion 32; the coupling portion 33 is a pantograph mechanism with four rectangular link-shaped parallel end surface respectively coupled by pin in an oscillating manner; relative to one fixed portion 31, the other fixed portion 32 is coupled unmovable manner to the upper side direction of the inner plate and coupled in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the upper side direction in a manner permitting the parallel displacement.
