The device (1) is injection moulded in a single piece and bent at a pre-determined transversally positioned line (4), in order to serve as a U-shaped clamp. The outer surface of the lower arm (5) is provided with ribs (5), which engage with corresponding ribs (6) at the lateral bar (20) of the bed frame. A cap (9) with a cylindrically shaped bearing element (10) can be accommodated in the space (8), created between the two arms (2,3) of the clamping element (1), joining the spring area (18) of the slat (19) to the lateral bar (20) of the frame.
