摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a vicinity of an ignition plug from becoming over lean due to stratified charge combustion while making an effective use of an evaporated fuel by purging the evaporated fuel to an intake system. SOLUTION: This engine control device is provided with a purge compensation quantity operation means 75 which operates a decreased quantity (purge compensation quantity) of fuel injected by an injector 22 in response to the concentration of a purged fuel and an injection quantity operating means 76 which determines the final fuel quantity injected by the injector. The purge compensation quantity operation means 75 finds the concentration of a fuel to be purged based on an air-fuel ratio feedback coefficient cfb and then, sets the purge compensation quantity based on this concentration. In this case, the operation mode is judged and when the mode is stratified charge combustion, the purge compensation quantity is set to be smaller than that in a stoichiometric mode. The injection quantity operating means 76 finds the basic injection quantity of fuel and determines final the fuel injection quantity by adding the purge compensation quantity to the basic injection quantity.
