PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assemblable storage unit which retains a plurality of at least one kind of storage media and provides users with useful options. SOLUTION: An assemblable storage unit 1 for retaining a plurality of at least one kind of storage media 3 comprises horizontally spaced upwardly supportable members 5 and 6, and a plurality of elongate members 4 arranged dependent from the spaced upwardly supportable members 5 and 6 and capable of being configured as separate horizontal arrays S of two or three elongate members. In the case of at least one array of two elongate members S2 and S2', they can be configured to allow the storage media to bear onto it or to be suspended from it, and/or in the case of three elongate members S3, they can be configured to allow the storage media 3 to be in a first orientation or second orientation or in both the directions when placed to bear onto the three elongate members S3.
